We can confirm Smokestack will be appearing at Chiddfest 2018.

Smokestack are Phil Mills – guitar/vocals/harmonica, Roger Ferris -bass guitar and Grant Allardyce/loz Thomas-drums.

Roger Ferris originally worked as sound technician on recording sessions in the late 60’s at Abbey Road-EMI studios with The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Badfinger and the Hollies as well as working along side producers Phil Spector and Mickie Most, and was encouraged to play rhythm & blues bass by John Paul Jones and the thriving blues scene.

Leaving London for Brighton a chance meeting with street blues musician Phil Mills playing authentic slide guitar and harmonica at his weekly residency Blind Lemon Alley led to forming the blues combo Smokestack.
